The name of the schoolhouse was Riverside School. Teacher's name was Nellie Wincher (I think it's spelled right for her last name).

Medium and small desks were used for middle and younger children in this one-room schoolhouse. I have never seen how small these desks on the right were!!

Bigger desks were used for older kids. Notice there's a circular round hole on each upper right side of each desk...these were used to hold bottle of ink for children to write with a feather with since they didn't have any pen or pencil back in olden days. Also, they had to use old small chalkboard and chalk to write with. These chalkboards were expensive back in those days.
